Our Story

When our Founder, Christian Rikong created MoorRadio in January 2019, he was simply trying to solve for a simple but frustrating problem: How could he easily listen to radio stations that were available in major African cities but that were not broadcasting in smaller cities and villages in Africa and also outside of the continent as well. From that point and several thousands cups of coffees and several late nights later, Christian had built the first version of the MOORRADIO platform. Since then, the MOORRADIO team has invested in AI (artificial intelligence), complex algorithms and robust recommendation engines that power our entire platform. With more than 10,000 radio stations in our library and a full suite of tools geared toward discovery, we’re confident that MoorRadio will help you find more of what you love in terms Afro Centric Radios
